Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Confined spaces. Noisy. Dangerous. Dusty. Cold/refrigerated. Work setting: Urban area. Various locations. High-rise building construction sites. Rural area. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Construction site. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades. Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Level earth to fine grade specifications. Assist in demolishing buildings. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Perform routine maintenance work. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction. Direct traffic at or near construction sites. Equipment and machinery experience: Bobcats. Curbing machine. Concrete vibrators. Reciprocating saws. Circular saws. Concrete saws. Mortar and concrete mixers. Grinding machine. Jackhammers. Air compressors. Air guns. Nail guns. Drills. Forklift. Hand tools. Construction specialization: Driveways.
