Job details
Education: College/CEGEP. Asset languages: Vietnamese. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Restaurant. Tasks: Evaluate daily operations . Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget . Monitor revenues to determine labour cost . Monitor staff performance . Plan and organize daily operations. Recruit staff. Set staff work schedules. Supervise staff. Train staff. Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms. Conduct performance reviews. Cost products and services. Organize and maintain inventory. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies. Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities. Address customers' complaints or concerns. Provide customer service. Store beverage and food products. Serve food or snacks. Record and balance beverage sales. Order bar stock and maintain inventory and control of bar stock. Operate cash register. Provide recommendations on drink selections. Collect cash, credit/debit cards or other payment for beverages. Short order cooking and food preparation. Clean bar area and wash glassware. Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons. Prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer and non-alcoholic beverages. Supervision: 3-4 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Safe Food Handling certificate. Food Safety Certificate. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Office. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Willing to travel. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Attention to detail.
