Job details
Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Rural area. Industrial equipment and automation manufacturing. Tasks: Design and develop power equipment and systems. Assist in design, development and testing. Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports. Assist in inspecting, testing and adjusting electronic components. Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments. Assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications. Collect and compile operational or experimental data. Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems. Prepare design concepts, sketches or models for approval. Design and develop programs. Write, modify, integrate and test software code. Communicate technical problems, processes and solutions. Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software. Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements. Assist in the development of logical and physical specifications. Maintain existing computer programs by making modifications as required. Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Participate as a member of a research or development team in the design and development of experimental, industrial or medical equipment, instrumentation and procedures.
