Job details
Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Work setting: On-site customer service. Tasks: Install and overhaul heating systems. Install refrigeration systems. Troubleshoot heating systems. Troubleshoot ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Measure, cut and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment. Provide customer service. Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices. Perform maintenance such as, recharging system with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators or calibrating system. Handle, recover and store refrigerants. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Red Seal Certificate. Air conditioning and refrigeration systems: Rooftop (self-contained). Heat pump. Ventilation. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Vehicle supplied by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Attention to detail. Manual dexterity. Personal suitability: Punctuality. Accurate. Client focus.
