Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Cold/refrigerated. Work setting: Food and beverage plant. Tasks: Food safety/handling skills. Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines. Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers. Feed and unload processing machines. Check products and packaging for basic quality defects. Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Food Safety Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Manual dexterity. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Weight handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs). Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Flexibility. Reliability. Team player.
