MANAGER OF CYBER SECURITY AND DATA PRIVACY <p>Salary<p>- $138,595 per year<p>1.0 <p>FTE<p>Permanent<p>The Simcoe County District<p>School Board is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Manager<p>of Cyber Security and Data Privacy to work as a member of the senior technical<p>team within Information Technology Services (ITS). Reporting to the<p>Superintendent of Information Technology Services, the successful candidate<p>will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the boards<p>cyber security strategies, policies, and procedures. The incumbent will work<p>closely with ITS staff and board staff to ensure the protection of sensitive<p>data and compliance for the board. This position may require flexibility for<p>work hours.<p>Responsibilities: <p> <p>Develop and enforce policies and procedures for data security<p>and privacy.<p> <p>Manage a team of cyber security professionals to monitor and<p>protect against threats.<p> <p>Manages security projects, ensuring projects<p>are properly documented and completed in a timely fashion, within budget. <p> <p>Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.<p> <p>Respond to security incidents and lead remediation efforts.<p> <p>Provide training and awareness programs for staff and<p>students on data security best practices.<p> <p>Oversee the management of security technologies such as<p>firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems.<p> <p>Regular analysis of network resources for abnormalities and<p>potential security breaches. Dealing with abnormalities or potential risks<p>appropriately and timely, including the escalation of issues as required.<p> <p>Works with the Information Technology Services department to<p>participate in the development and annual review of the ITS strategic plan. <p> <p>Support and administration of security technologies such as<p>SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), EDR (Endpoint Detection &<p>Response), Network/Systems monitoring, Cyber Security.<p> <p>Implementation of Identity and security related processes and<p>procedures.<p> <p>Use provided tools to perform continual monitoring and<p>analysis of system activity to identify malicious activity and configure<p>mitigations.<p> <p>Other duties as assigned.<p>Qualifications<p>and Skills Required: <p> <p>University degree in Information Technology,<p>Computer Science or equivalent plus relevant certifications. Industry<p>recognized certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CRISC, etc. <p> <p>Minimum five (5) years experience in cyber<p>security management or seven (7) years related experience in information<p>technology, including experience within a large complex unionized environment.<p> <p>Proven supervisory and leadership skills, including<p>direct experience supervising employees.<p> <p>Excellent knowledge of Cybersecurity detect and<p>response methodologies, standards and best practices.<p> <p>Proficient and demonstrated experience in managing<p>network security, operating systems security and cloud security.<p> <p>Proven Understanding of key IT / Cybersecurity<p>concepts (Network Security, Security Operations & Administration, Managed<p>Detection and Response, Incident Response & Recovery, Vulnerability<p>Management, etc.)<p> <p>Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of<p>current Cyber Security Frame
