Candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and respectfully, with a human rights and equity perspective, to foster student success, achievement and well-being. About the Program <p>INTERNATIONAL & INDIGENOUS LANGUAGES PROGRAM (Elementary)<p>The International & Indigenous Languages Program provides a variety of classes in non-official languages to elementary students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. The International & Indigenous Languages Program is offered mainly on Saturday mornings from September 7, 2024 to June 14, 2025 (33 Saturdays in total). The Board is seeking applicants interested in the position of Site Principal for the International & Indigenous Languages Elementary Program as follows: <p> POSITION <p> Time <p> Mode of instruction <p> SALARY <p> IILP Site Principal (Elementar) Saturday morning <p> In-Person<p> Locations:<p> - D. Roy Kennedy PS<p> - Farley Mowat PS<p> - Jack Donohue PS $7,000<p> + 4% vacation pay Eligibility & Qualifications Applicants must hold a valid Ontario Teaching Certificate and be employed as teachers or in leadership positions within the Board.<p>Preference will be given to applicants who: <p> Have the Principal Qualifications Part I and II courses; Other related experience that will be considered an asset: <p> Have related administrative experience in a school setting; <p> H<p> ave experience in the International & Indigenous Languages Program <p> Have competency in an international language <p> Have international teaching experience <p> Have lived experience of a visible minority group <p> Administrative Responsibilities The IILP Site Principal is responsible for all aspects of the program: fostering a safe, equitable, diverse, and caring learning environment for students and staff, directing, supporting and monitoring the implementation of the curriculum at the site, modeling exemplary teaching strategies to IIL instructors, collaborating and contributing to PD training days and educational meetings, performing administrative duties (personnel procedures, class registration statistics, reviewing report cards and providing appropriate support to instructors, submitting supply orders), handling emergencies, supervising and delegating office staff duties, supervising attendance issues, communicating and working with Continuing Education administration to ensure the delivery of an accountable quality program.The duties of the Site
