If you're interested in working for a company with a wide range of exciting projects, apply here!</span><br><br><span><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></span><br><span> </span><br><span><strong>Leadership and strategy</strong></span><span></span><ul><li><span>Lead, maintain, and continuously improve HSE program, with a focus on risk assessment and mitigation for national wind power projects.</span></li><li><span>Collaborate with senior management to establish regional HSE objectives, align with Global HSE goals, and manage the departmental budget.</span></li><li><span>Define and implement the strategic HSE plan, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.</span></li></ul><span><strong>Operational excellence</strong></span><span></span><ul><li><span>Work closely with Installation, Services, and other support department managers to develop and meet operational HSE requirements.</span></li><li><span>Continue the integration of the VelocityEHS management system, ensuring its effective use and continuous improvement.</span></li><li><span>Oversee the management, training, and development of the HSE team, fostering a culture of safety and continuous learning.</span></li></ul><span><strong>Risk management and compliance</strong></span><span></span><ul><li><span>Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and provincial laws, as well as industry standards.</span></li><li><span>Identify and effectively control risks related to organizational operations, integrating HSE considerations into procurement processes and operational planning.</span></li><li><span>Collaborate with government authorities during audits, investigations, and other necessary interventions.</span></li></ul><span><strong>Communication and Culture</strong></span><span></span><ul><li><span>Promote and communicate a strong HSE culture across all levels of the organization.</span></li><li><span>Serve as a subject matter expert on HSE issues, providing guidance and innovative solutions to the management team.</span></li><li><span>Maintain a solid presence in challenging situations, demonstrating composure and effective decision-making under high stress.</span></li></ul><span><strong>Performance Monitoring and Improvement</strong></span><span></span><ul><li><span>Update and monitor key performance indicators in health and safety, implementing effective measures to address issues.</span></li><li><span>Manage the qualification process for organizations as required by clients (e.g., IS-Networld (ISN) qualification).</span></li><li><span>Develop and execute a strategic plan for effective claims management and promote return-to-health/return-to-work processes.</span></li></ul><span><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span><span></span><ul><li><span>Undergraduate Bachelor's degree (BAC) in a relevant field</span></li><li><span>Minimum of 10 years of experience, including 5 years in Health and Safety Management Systems.</span></li><li><span>Proven experience in the management and implementation of essential OSH programs (e.g., electrical safety, lockout-tagout, working at heights, ergonomics, confined spaces, WHMIS).</span></li><li><span>Experience in high-risk assessments.</span></li><li><span>Background in the wind industry or related sectors (e.g., construction, industrial, power plants, petroleum or other).</span></li><li><span>Experience working closely with blue-collar workers on-site, with the ability to effectively communicate HSE culture to teams.</span></li><li><span>CRSP certification (PSAC) is required.</span></li><li><span>Solid knowledge of multiple ISO standards, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.</span></li><li><span>Extensive experience with Canadian Occupational Health and Safety regulations and standards, including HSO requirements.</span></li><li><span>Willingness to travel </span></li><li><span>Proficiency in
