These are some of the reasons we are known as an employer of choice.</span></em></p> <p><strong><span>Role </span></strong></p> <p><span>Reporting to the Director, Commercial & Renewables Strategy, the incumbent will be responsible for identifying and analyzing the low carbon fuels regulations in Canada. He will implement them into Valero’s operations and participate in the optimization of the existing Valero compliance strategy. </span></p> <p><span>The coordinator will also be responsible for identifying opportunities related to low carbon fuels for Canadian commercial operations, facilitating associated feasibility assessments to optimize Valero's compliance strategy and providing recommendations to upper management. </span></p> <p><span><span><span><strong>Responsabilities</strong></span></span></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Be an expert in the field, acquire extensive knowledge of current and future low-carbon fuel regulations to interpret and identify the main concerns and repercussions; and be a resource for in-house clients.</span></li> <li>Monitor the evolution of low-carbon fuel regulations and understand/communicate their impacts on Valero’s activities.</li> <li>Develop documents for in-house parties to serve as reference material or for training purposes.</li> <li>Do regular follow-up on the performance and compliance status of various regulations to identify opportunities to optimize and/or prevent cases of non-compliance.</li> <li>Establish and implement corrective measures in cases where there is non-compliance or excessive deviations from established procedures.</li> <li>Perform economic analyses and simulations associated with regulatory compliance projects and contract reviews.</li> <li>Develop and analyze optimization, growth and cost reduction projects associated with low-carbon fuels for commercial activities in Canada.</li> <li>Participate in audit controls and programs (internal and external) on low-carbon fuels.</li> <li>Support financial and month-end activities, including the preparation of obligation reports, account reconciliations, recording of accounting entries and the explanation of variances in the results of various programs.</li> <li>Provide ad hoc reports and analyses at senior management’s request.</li> </ul><br><div><b>Qualifications</b></div><ul> <li><span>Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a relevant field </span></li> <li><span>3-5 years of relevant experience</span></li> <li><span>Bilingual - French and English (spoken and written)</span></li> <li><span>Experience in the energy industry, a strong asset</span></li> <li><span>Advanced Excel, SAP & Power Query knowledge, an asset</span></li> <li><span>Excellent organization and time management skills</span></li> <li><span>Comforta
