<p><strong>PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT</strong></p><p>Forum is a leading developer, owner and operator of commercial, residential, and mixed-use real estate properties located across Canada. As a full-service provider we manage every aspect of the development process including due diligence, acquisition, land-use planning, construction, leasing, and day-to-day property management. Due to growth and expansion of our portfolio, we have an immediate opening for an experienced Property Accountant.</p><p><strong>SUMMARY</strong>:</p><p>Reporting to the V.P. Finance, the Property Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the daily accounting records of revenue generating properties for an assigned portfolio, as well as other projects as assigned.</p><p><strong>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>:</p><ul><li>Maintaining the day-to-day accounting records for a portfolio of properties;</li><li>Complete quarterly and yearly preparation & reporting of property financials including balance sheet and income statement;</li><li>The preparation of year-end financial reporting packages;</li><li>Accounting for sale transactions and new property acquisitions;</li><li>Accounting for financing transactions, including construction draws and new debt agreements;</li><li>Government filings for GST/QST;</li><li>Identify process improvement opportunities as well as the development and implementation of process solutions;</li><li>Assist with special projects as required</li></ul><p></p><p>Competitive compensation packages are offered based on experience, including a full benefit package.</p><p><br> If interested, please forward your resume in strictest of confidence to delartcv@groupeforum.ca</p> <br> <p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS</strong>:<br>Required level of education and job-related skills:</p><ul><li>Previous experience in public accounting and an understanding of the real estate industry is considered an asset but not essential.</li></ul><p><strong></strong>Specific skills:</p><ul><li>Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook</li><li>Strong understanding of accounting systems and software, experience using Spectra, Simply Accounting and Building Stack is an asset</li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision</li><li>A team player who can develop and sustain cooperative working relationships</li></ul>
