Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products. Professionalism in customer service. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Keep a record of items received and delivered. Load and unload goods. Sort packages for delivery. Use maps and other trip planning aids. Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines. Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Experience: Will train. Support for newcomers and refugees: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.) . Support for Indigenous people: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations . Supports for visible minorities: Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities (for example: anonymizing the hiring process, etc.).- LocationRichmond, BC
