*About Naramata Inn*:
Naramata Inn is an intimate 12-room boutique property located in the scenic Okanagan Valley. Known for our commitment to sustainability, fine dining, and exceptional guest experiences, we are seeking a talented *Pastry Chef* with experience in Michelin-starred establishments, Relais & Châteaux properties, or fine dining environments. The successful candidate will elevate our pastry offerings and contribute to the overall culinary excellence of our establishment.
*Key Responsibilities*:
* *Pastry Program Leadership*: Lead the development and execution of a seasonal pastry menu, reflecting the high standards of Michelin or Relais & Châteaux cuisine.
* *Ingredient Sourcing*: Utilize locally sourced, sustainable ingredients to create refined, innovative pastries that showcase the unique terroir of the Okanagan Valley.
* *Consistency & Quality Control*: Ensure exceptional presentation, flavor, and consistency in all pastry items, upholding the reputation of the Inn.
* *Collaboration*: Work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team to integrate the pastry program into the broader dining experience.
* *Kitchen Operations*: Oversee the day-to-day pastry production, including menu planning, cost control, scheduling, and compliance with food safety regulations.
* *Guest Interaction*: Engage with guests to enhance their experience, offering insight into the philosophy and ingredients behind each creation.
*Qualifications*:
* *Experience*: Minimum 3-5 years in Michelin-starred, Relais & Châteaux, or high-end fine dining establishments.
* *Expertise*: Mastery of classical and contemporary pastry techniques, with an exceptional eye for detail and innovation.
* *Leadership*: Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to mentor junior staff and maintain a high level of professionalism.
* *Creativity*: Ability to develop unique and seasonal pastry offerings that align with the Inn's culinary vision.
