Posting Number : T24-358<p>Date Issued: September 12, 2024POSITION: Worksite: Student Services / Various Schools<p>Contract Type: Temporary, Part-Time (60%)<p>Assignment Area(s): School Psychologist<p>Salary Range: $59,711 to $109,520 (range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance to the collective agreement)<p>Effective Date: Immediately until not later than June 30, 2025 (or return of Teacher) <p>Deadline for Applications: September 20, 2024- 12:00 pm<p>Electronic Applications must be submitted through Make A Future www.makeafuture.ca and include a Cover Letter, Resume, Teaching Report, Transcripts & the names of 2 supervisors who can comment on your teaching.<p>Required Abilities, Qualifications and Experience: <p>Extensive academic training, professional preparation, and qualifications in teaching in all areas of this assignment.<p>Knowledge of, and demonstrated application of, the Ministry of Education's current philosophy, teaching practices, and evaluation/assessment/reporting procedures as applied to all areas of this assignment.<p>Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to implement teaching practices that align with the Professional Standards for BC Educators.<p>demonstrated qualification in school psychology, Master's degree in school/educational psychology<p>qualifications that meet the standard for membership in the British Columbia Association of School Psychologists<p>current member of BCASP<p>professional teaching certificate preferred<p>qualified to administer and interpret up to and including Level C Educational, Psychological, and Behavioural Tests <p>training in psychometric theory and principles <p>current knowledge of BC Ministry of Education, Special Education Policies and Procedures <p>experience working as a school psychologist in schools, Kindergarten to Grade 12<p>excellent communication and interpersonal skills <p>demonstrated ability in consulting with teachers, parents, students and community agencies regarding the nature of students, strengths and needs, their educational implications, and ways to enhance learning and interpersonal relations <p>demonstrated ability in collaborating with school-based and/or district personnel to gather classroom-based data, design or implement instructional strategies, and design and implement behaviour management interventions <p>demonstrated ability in working with School Based Teams, multi-disciplinary teams and Community Care Teams <p>demonstrated ability to assist in the development of IEPs for referred students <p>demonstrated ability in planning and presenting in-service in the area of special education and, specifically in the area of assessmentFor Further Information Contact: Salvina Sharp, District Principal Student Services or Jessica Adams-Loupret, District Vice Principal Student Services (604) 794-5553
