Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Dusty. Tasks: Assemble wood products such as window sashes, doors, boxes, pallets, ladders and barrels. Pack items for shipping and distribution. Reinforce assembled products with dowelling or other supports. Trim, smooth, and shape surfaces. Sort, pile and transport wood products. Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing. Feed conveyors, hoppers, saws and drying machines. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Equipment and machinery experience: Power tools. Pneumatic devices. Area of work experience: Assembly line. Security and safety: Bondable. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Hand-eye co-ordination. Handling heavy loads. Manual dexterity. Overtime required. Standing for extended periods.
