NOTICE OF PERMANENT VACANCYPosition: Manager of Professional Service - Mental Health Lead<p>Salary Range:$117,176.00 $ 139,734.00 Band 10<p>Allowance: $13,99.00 $16,428.00<p>Location:Student Well-being & Mental Health, New Street Education Centre<p>Work Schedule:35 hours/week, 12 months/year<p>Effective Date:November 1, 2024<p>Position Summary:<p>Reporting to the Superintendent of Student Well-Being and Mental Health, the Mental Health Lead (MH) is responsible for the development and monitoring of the HDSB 4 year Student Mental Health Strategy. The MH Lead also facilitates stakeholder engagement in collaboration with the System Vice-Principal of Student Well-Being and Mental Health, MH Strategy Advisory Committee, MH Leadership Team, supporting the Student Mental Health Strategy. The MH Lead oversees system leadership for Mental Health and Well-Being: Tragic Events Response Team Lead, HDSB Communications support, Student MH and Well-Being FOS learning, coordination between the school and community services for students with complex needs, and liaises with School Mental Health Ontario. The MH Lead provides ongoing oversight of mental health promotion (for students), prevention and early intervention at HDSB.Responsibilities will also include being assigned key portfolios and/or projects, covering for absent CYC and Social Worker Managers (job management and/or clinical supervision) Qualifications: Completion of Masters or graduate degree in one of the following fields (Psychology, Social Work, Psychotherapy)<p> Certifications and designations: MSW, RSW, Psychologist, Psychotherapist<p> Six (6) years experience working in a school board setting; children's mental health agency<p> Substantial experience working on a multidisciplinary team;<p> Experience with management and providing clinical supervision<p> Familiarity with the Education Act, Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA), Standards of Practice for each regulated discipline, privacy legislation and related practices;<p> Registered in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (Social Worker); College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (Psychologist or Psychological Associate); or College of Audiologists and College of Psychotherapists<p> System leadership responsibilities - develop/revise policy or practice guidelines<p> project management, project evaluation, and/or implementation science<p> crisis support experience<p> effective stakeholder engagement skills (staff, parents, youth, community partners)<p> advanced knowledge and skills in child and youth mental health<p> ability to coordinate and lead a team, committees or working groups<p> budget management<p> knowledge of education system and variety of roles within<p> Strong interpersonal skills<p> Engaging leadership style<p> Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities<p> Known to be an effective presenter with clear communication skills Key Responsibilities: Support the development and monitoring of the 3-Year Mental Health and Addictions Strategic Plan<p> Identify gaps, opportunities, urgent and emerging needs through data analysis and gathering stakeholder input<p> Complete yearly School Mental Health Ontario board scan and data capture<p> Initiate and collaborate with Research Department program evaluation projects<p> Co-chair board committees (Youth Advisory, Mental Health Strategy Advisory, Mental Health Leadership Team) <p> Monthly meetings with School Mental Health Ontario coach<p> Liaise with Student and other Trustees <p> Developing, Actioning and delivering on HDSB Mental Health Strategy Annual Action Plan<p>
