Relocation supportFor more information on bursaries/incentives please visit www.workinhealthnl.ca/incentives or email erecruit@westernhealth.nl.ca.*subject to Government of Newfoundland and Labrador approval annually.DUTIES: Provides a full range of psychological services, including biopsychosocial assessments, test administration and interpretation, diagnosis, and intensive psychotherapy with children and adults. Provides consultation to Mental Health and Addiction Services staff and various care providers. Duties will be provided independently and as part of a team of mental health and addictions professionals. Provides leadership and support to various mental health promotion initiatives.While the primary function of this position is to support the operation of the FACT Team, the Psychologist III may be involved in assessment, treatment, follow up and support of individuals with mental health and addictions needs throughout various mental health and addictions programs and services.Required Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years current experience (within the last 7 years) in mental health and/or addictions. Advanced knowledge of theoretical approaches and therapy pertaining to mental health and addictions is required. Candidates should have clinical experience in the provision of comprehensive psychological assessment, intervention techniques/strategies, and therapy to individuals, families, and groups. Effective teamwork, communication, and inter-professional skills are essential. Experience working in an interdisciplinary community-based mental health setting would be an asset. Demonstrated ability to direct, supervise and mentor students. Graduation from an accredited university with a Masters' Degree in Psychology. A Doctoral Degree in Psychology or a Masters' Degree in Clinical Psychology is preferred.
