Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: At heights. Dusty. Outdoors. Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Commercial. Residential. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Smooth gouges with wood filler and sand wood. Fill moulds with concrete. Assemble plywood panels. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Occupational Health and Safety Certificate. Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Tight deadlines. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus.
