New Brunswick Housing CorporationEngineer 3Senior Project EngineerOpen CompetitionConstruction and Modernization BranchFrederictonWho we areThe New Brunswick Housing Corporation (NBHC) is currently seeking ambitious and skilled Engineers to join the recently renewed and restructured NBHC.NBHC is focused on working with all levels of government, community groups, organization, and the private sector to identify and maximize housing development opportunities while providing support through a housing strategy to positively impact New Brunswickers.The Facilities Division of NBHC includes two distinct units that are integral to fulfilling the corporation's mandate and achieving the goals articulated in New Brunswick's Housing Strategy. These are the Building Management Branch, and the Construction and Modernization Branch.What you will doAs a member of the Construction and Modernization Branch, you will report to the Director of Construction and Modernization. You will be responsible for project management and technical direction across a diverse range of new construction and major renovation projects. Specific duties include:Development and control of project budgets and schedules. Effectively control project scope to ensure project deliverables are met; Collaborate and liaise with various levels of government entities and internal departments; Engage and supervise private sector consultants and contractors to ensure project objectives are achieved; Provide comprehensive supervision and control of projects throughout all project phases including: planning, design, tendering, contract award, and construction. Manage direct-report staff.Work environment:Office location: 551 King Street, Fredericton.*Other office locations within NB can be considered if operational requirements permit.Standard hours of work: Monday ¿ Friday 8:15 am ¿ 4:30 pm. We promote a scent-reduced environment. Minimum eight (8) years of related experience in building design or construction projects and be registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGNB. Valid Class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New BrunswickAn equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.Written and spoken competence in English is required.
