Commercial Contractors Inc. are very active in all areas of construction from design, site work, new building, renovations, alterations and property maintenance.
Do you have a creative mind and are knowledgeable with construction and building codes? Do you like seeing your visions come to reality? If so, we are looking for a talented architectural technologist (or similar) to join our team.
*YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITES WOULD BE:*
* Preparation of design and presentation drawings for ICI type buildings
* Draft technical drawings for new buildings, renovations and alterations, from preliminary concepts & sketches to final construction documents
* Provide detailed drawings with accurate and clearly labeled measurements, materials, and finishes specifications
* Support the team with concept development, budgeting etc.
* Complete documentation packages and drawing sets.
* Work alongside and regularly communicate with owner, architects, contractors, engineers, JPCC staff and suppliers
* Provide take-offs to estimators
* Interact with team to seek architectural design and technical solutions
* Maintain project documentation
* Perform other duties as required
*WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:*
* Knowledge of construction process and applicable building codes and municipal requirements. Barrier free design is extremely important
* Critical eye for detail
* Ability to follow direction, instruction and requests from Manager and clients
* Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
* Ability to research and resolve technical and building code matters
* Outgoing and engaging personality with the ability to interact with clients, consultants and municipal officials effectively and professionally
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
* Independent and works with minimal supervision but willing to collaborate
*YOUR QUALIFICATIONS*
* Completion of Architectural Construction Engineering Technology (ACET) program or equivalent experience
* Must have valid G license and transportation
* Minimum 3 year relevant experience
* BCIN certification an asset
* Microsoft office skills
* Architectural design 3 years preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
