Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Work setting: Urban area. Rural area. Various locations. Private sector land surveying establishments. Tasks: Develop survey plans, methods and procedures for conducting legal surveys. Prepare all data and documents related to surveys of real property boundaries. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Supervise other land surveyors and/or field crews. Plan, direct and supervise or conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries of properties. Record all measurements and other information obtained during survey activities. Determine precise locations using electronic distance measuring equipment. Survey and lay out subdivisions for rural and urban development. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.
