*Overview*
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to drive sales growth and expand our market presence within the assigned region. The RSM - Sales and Business Development is an important member of the Sales Team and reports to the VP Sales & Business Development directly and is responsible for commercial sales along with a shared responsibility for business development with the VP Sales & Business Development.
*Responsibilities*
-You will display sales expertise, leadership, strategic planning, critical thinking and communication skills and a collegial style that collaborates with and supports all Company departments.
-Your core responsibilities include revenue, costs of goods, sales development, growth and profitability, marketing programs, market penetration and expansion and a shared responsibility for business development with the VP Sales & Business Development.
-You will ensure that sales performance data is inputted into SalesForce CRM system.
-You will evaluate sales and marketing performance by analyzing and interpreting internal data and metrics and comparing them against industry standards with a view to making our Company a category leader.
-You will ensure that all sales and marketing strategies are aligned with theCompany?s overall goal and direction.
-You will lead major sales accounts, lead customer relations, and negotiate andprepare Company contracts and NDA agreements for review and final approval bythe VP Sales & Business Development who is the final signing authority.
-You will leverage your experience and industry knowledge with the goal of designing sales strategies, plans and procedures including sales forecasts and measurable targets.
-You will prepare a departmental budget, strive for efficiency, and ensure expenses are consistent with sales targets.
-You will write and submit reports to the VP Sales & Marketing in all matters of importance and as requested.
*Key Sales Focus Points:*
-Hunt for the Company's sales and efforts with the VP Sales & Marketing by focusing the organization on key sales opportunities in various territories.
-Develop relationships and work extensively at the executive level with all new or old customers.
-Business Development for various markets and channels to drive revenue and grow reach.
-Build successful partnerships with customer business leads and key decision makers; provide on-going strategic insights and continually identify future value-added solutions based on the changing market dynamics and industry trends.
-Develop and execute the company sales strategies and plans to meet growth targets along with the marketing strategies.
-Work in conjunction with operations, supply chain and the VP Sales & Marketing in marketing functions.
*Skills and Qualifications*
-Bachelor?s degree in business or related field a plus
-Previous sales and management experience
-A background in food science or food industry an asset
-Experience using sales tracking software
-Prior experience in SF or other CRM tools
-Experience in creating and managing distribution channels
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
-Exceptional communication skills
-Ability to lead a team to success
-Passion for helping others and providing mentorship
-Excellent analytical and reporting skills
-In-depth understanding of customer needs in the region
-Strong critical thinking skills
-Adaptability to market changes and trends
-Ability to work under pressure
