The People Manager at Evergreen Seniors Home will oversee and manage a diverse team of nurses, healthcare assistants (HCAs) and support staff. This leadership role requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to fostering a positive, person-centered care environment. The People Manager will inspire the team to embody Evergreen?s core values?compassion, flexibility, reliability, thoughtfulness and trustworthiness ?ensuring that residents receive high-quality care. In addition to managing day-to-day staff operations, the People Manager will serve as a mentor, promoting a culture of collaboration, flexibility, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead and manage the team to ensure a high standard of care and services for residents.
Inspire and promote Evergreen?s core values across all teams.
Conduct regular performance reviews per licensing standards, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development opportunities for staff.
Foster an environment where staff feel valued, heard, and empowered to provide person-centered care. Ensure accountability.
Staff Scheduling & Coordination:
Oversee the development and management of staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage across all departments.
Manage employee leaves, time-off requests, and ensure staffing needs are met with flexibility and fairness.
Mentorship & Support:
Act as a mentor to staff, helping them grow professionally while addressing any challenges they may face.
Encourage a culture of open communication and support among team members.
Conflict Resolution:
Address and resolve conflicts among staff and residents with empathy, confidentiality, and fairness.
Work collaboratively with staff to solve challenges that arise in day-to-day operations, ensuring the well-being of residents and employees.
Training & Compliance:
Ensure that staff are trained in accordance with industry standards, health and safety protocols, and Evergreen?s policies.
Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, including food safety, health standards, and maintenance protocols.
Collaboration with Leadership:
Partner with the Dorectoe and leadership team to continually improve services, staff experiences, and resident outcomes.
Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes aimed at enhancing the overall care environment.
Qualifications:
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on team building, collaboration, and conflict resolution.
A passion for good care and understanding of the importance of compassionate, person-centered service.
Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating reliability, trustworthiness, and thoughtful decision-making.
Strong organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
