JOB SUMMARY: <p> <p>An employee hired to perform custodial duties is responsible to the Director of Operations or designate.<p><p>POSITION : On-Call Building Service Worker<p>HOURS OF WORK : Twelve months per year position.<p>WAGE RATE : As per C.U.P.E Local 4165 Agreement $24.81<p><p>QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: <p><p> Grade 12 or equivalent or willing to obtain <p> Driver's License would be considered an asset<p> Experience/formal training cleaning in a related field would be considered an asset.<p> Computer skills would be an asset <p><p>MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO: <p><p> Communicate effectively, orally and in writing. <p> Work with disagreeable conditions from time to time. <p> Solve problems related to the position.<p> Be self-directed, work independently and/or work collegially in a team environment.<p> Perform the physical requirements of the job. <p> Maintain confidentiality. <p> Operate a variety of equipment and tools related to the position.<p><p> RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: <p><p> Ensure secure, safe and sanitary conditions of the facility and grounds, such as setting alarms, locking doors, snow removal, dusting, sweeping, washing and garbage pickup. <p> Perform cleaning, maintenance and restoration of floors. i.e., stripping and waxing.<p> Maintain an accurate inventory of cleaning equipment and supplies and order as needed. <p> Operate and care for equipment related to the position. <p> Make routine repairs regularly. <p> Develop work methods in agreement with the Director of Operations or designate for assigned tasks.<p> Report maintenance concerns to the principal/vice principal. <p> Check daily with the school principal/vice principal for specific school needs.<p> Complete daily checklist of duties.<p> Perform other job-related duties.<p><p>All applications must be submitted through Make Future to be considered for the position.
