*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Demonstrate knowledge of hotel information including room categories and location, amenities, the local area and other general brand knowledge.
* Standing for an entire shift with a checklist that must be completed each day.
* Respond to all guest inquires and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
* Setup meeting room by moving tables and chairs. Clean the room once meetings are complete.
* Create keys and key packets for arrivals.
* Test and record pool levels every 4 hours
* Stock front desk and suite shop supplies when needed (be sure to rotate suite shop inventory, first in first out)
* Assist guests with check-out including, but not limited to, ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted, inquiring about guest satisfaction during stay, housekeeping inspecting room if cash/debit payment, accepting and recording various forms of payment.
* Check front desk email and respond/forward accordingly frequently throughout shift.
* Field guest complaints, independently negotiate resolve solutions for guest satisfaction.
* Keep front desk area, suite shop and lobby clean, sanitized and presentable for hotel guests at all times.
* Ability to handle a multi line switch board by placing guests on hold and
* Responsible for creating, cancelling and modifying reservation requests.
* Complete in full and accurate front desk checklist. This includes cleaning the coffee station, helping in breakfast, taking out garbage, folding rags for housekeeping, cleaning the lobby and public washrooms.
* Deliver items to guest rooms when required.
* Responsible for counting cash drawer at beginning and end of shift, maintaining cash drawer contents, balancing of shift and making change for guests.
* Must be able to multitask and maintain a professional manner in stressful situations.
* Must maintain a positive and upbeat personality and courteous attitude with co-workers and guests.
* Handle continuous requests in a fast paced environment by coordinating with other departments to ensure all guest requests are being met.
This is a *permanent part time position* with hours ranging from 16-32 per week. Must be able to work independently and with a team in a fast paced environment as we are a busy hotel.
