<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>Matrx Seating is a global market leader of Seating and Positioning products manufactured by Motion Concepts, Concord, Ontario. Our products are prescribed by OTs and PTs and sold through Home Health Care dealers. We are looking for a full-time Industrial Sewer with experience in the field of Seating and Mobility or similar industries.</p><p>Job Responsibilities:</p><p>• Create patterns to cut for seat and back design.</p><p>• Position and mark patterns on materials to prepare for sewing.</p><p>• Properly utilize sewing machines to cut materials according to specifications, using blades, scissors, or electric knives.</p><p>• Fold, twist, stretch, or drape material, and secure articles in preparation for sewing.</p><p>• Trim excess threads or edges of parts, using scissors or knives. Turn knobs, screws, and dials to adjust settings of machines, according to garment styles and equipment performance.</p><p>• Monitor machine operation to prevent/resolve problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions.</p><p>Other duties as assigned.</p><p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p><p>• Experience with industrial sewing machines</p><p>. Experience sewing a variety of industrial materials required</p><p>• Reading Skills - Strong reading skills required. Able to read, understand and follow assembly instructions and complex work orders.</p><p>• Physical Demands - The position requires standing (patterning, cutting) and seated work (sewing) with the use of fingers, hands and arms. Lifting up to 30lbs.</p><p>• Safety and Housekeeping - Able to follow company safety policy and report safety concerns when observed. The ability to maintain a well organized and clean workspace.</p><p>• Interpersonal Skills - The position requires a self-starter with a positive attitude and strong team-player skills.</p><p>. Required to maintain positive working relationship with all co-workers.</p><p>• Education and Experience - High School diploma preferred. Experience with the above tools & equipment required.</p></div></div>- LocationConcord, ON
