Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the successful candidate will be accountable, reliable and safety conscious. We are looking for an operator to transport aggregate to out main wash plant from on site sources and external pits. This position will be mainly transportation work but will require other tasks as needed by the business.ResponsibilitiesSafe Operation of Tri-Axle Dump Trailer transporting aggregate from onsite sources to our wash plant and from external pits to our main site.While most of the work is in a transport truck there will be need to self-load using a wheel loader.Comply with legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver's hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods and weights and dimensions.Check vehicles before driving them to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.Record and maintain required documentation including driver logbookCommunicate effectively with the public, customers, and co-workersAssist in loading and unloading of tractorPerform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secureDeliver product and proper paperwork in a courteous and timely mannerAbility to help in the business when needed with plant maintenance.Willingness to participate in our Drug & Alcohol Testing programQualificationsValid Class I Driver's License and a clean driver's abstractA safety conscious, reliable and positive teamwork attitudeMinimum of two (2) years' experience drivingStrong work ethic and ability to work independentlyStrong interpersonal skills, including customer service skillsEnglish fluencyOther InformationWe understand the importance of investing in and developing our people.
