*Job Summary:*
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Traffic Control Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee traffic control operations at various client sites, ensuring the safety of workers, pedestrians, and motorists. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of traffic management strategies.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of Traffic Control Persons, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and traffic management plans.
* Develop and implement effective traffic control strategies to manage vehicle and pedestrian flow at construction and road maintenance sites.
* Set up, manage, and dismantle temporary traffic control setups, including signs, cones, barriers, and devices, in accordance with regulatory requirements and site-specific safety plans.
* Provide clear and concise instructions to team members, construction crews, and the public to ensure smooth traffic operations.
* Monitor traffic conditions and adapt control measures as needed to prevent congestion and accidents.
* Maintain situational awareness to anticipate potential hazards and address emergency situations promptly.
* Conduct regular inspections of traffic control setups and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
* Document and report incidents, safety concerns, and operational issues to the site supervisor or safety coordinator.
* Organize and lead safety meetings and training sessions for Traffic Control Persons to ensure ongoing compliance and skill development.
* Collaborate with other departments and clients to address and resolve traffic-related issues.
*Qualifications:*
* Valid TCP (Traffic Control Person) certification.
* Valid Driving License - Class 5 or higher.
* Proven experience in traffic control, with previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
* Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods.
* High level of situational awareness and quick decision-making abilities.
* Commitment to safety and knowledge of relevant safety procedures and regulations.
* Flexibility to work varying hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $23.59-$28.00 per hour
