*Cabinetmaker/Joiner* BWP Millwork https://bwpatelier.com/ Location: Kelowna, BC BWP Millwork (owned by Vines & Rebar Construction Management) a wood craftsmen atelier with traditional joinery techniques at its core that are supplemented by cutting edge technology. Anything we create is a result of painstaking research and attention to detail pushed, giving our clients access to world class joinery, millwork, and furniture. We are now operating from a newly renovated facility in Kelowna. The facility incorporates in-house project management, design, manufacturing, and finishing. The manufacturing shop has a complete package of machines to cover both contemporary and traditional techniques, from surfacer to 5 axis CNC, through to a fully equip veneering department we have what it takes to create amazing products in solid, sheet and solid surface materials. *What We?re Looking For:* We are looking for time served experienced cabinetmakers with a passion for an outstanding quality work. As a?member of our cabinetmaking team?based at our BWP Millwork location in Kelowna, B.C., your attention to detail, extensive woodworking knowledge, and creativity will result in premium outcomes working on high end millwork and furniture. We are looking to take our production to the next level with the implementation of traditional and cutting-edge skills and technology. Cabinet makers will be involved in an integrated design model where we network our design and production teams to produce exceptional products. We have positions available for: Senior Cabinetmakers: able to lead a team to complete large-scale projects. Lead Cabinetmakers: able to take an individual project from stock material to finished product. Journeyman Cabinetmakers: time served cabinetmakers looking to take their skills to the next level. *Job Duties:* * Interpret plans and specifications * Operate woodworking machines and use hand tools to cut, shape, and form wooden parts and components * Produce custom solid wood items * Assemble high-end millwork and joinery using pre-machined components following millwork shop drawings * Quality control * Maintain a clean and safe work environment *Job Qualifications:* * Cabinetmaker Red Seal Certificate (optional) * Strong knowledge of new and old cabinet making techniques * Experience of cabinet and freestanding furniture construction. * 5+ Years? experience * Valid driver?s license * High level of attention to detail * Desire to learn and develop *Physical Requirements:* * Work collaboratively and solely as required * Stand/walk/crouch/kneel for long period of time * Lift and carry materials weighting up to 50 lbs, occasionally more than 50 lbs with assistance If this sounds like you, submit your application today!
