Job OverviewAnderson Sinclair Barristers & Solicitors is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our busy, multi-practice Law Firm. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and providing administrative support within our office.Duties- Day-to-day accounting tasks including but not limited to: accepting and processing debit/credit card payments, processing accounts receivable and payable, receipt of Trust funds, processing cheque requisitions, daily bank deposits;- Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents and records;- Adhere to the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society requirements for working with Trust Accounts;- Opening and closing files in accounting program, sorting mail, arranging couriers, and other administrative duties as required.Qualifications- Highly attentive individual who is organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment;- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry;- Strong customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions;- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with an experienced, supportive team;- Excellent computer skills, experience with programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, and has the ability to learn new software quickly.Compensation based on experience and qualifications.Apply by email to hsutherland@andsinc.comOnly applicants being considered for an interview will be contacted.
