Our team of Supply Chain and Logistics experts speaks your language and operates in your world.</p><p>We are looking for a Bilingual Ship Operator, for our client in the shipping industry, located in the Old Port of Montreal. <br> <br>Responsibilities : <br> <br>- Carry out technical analyses and risk assessments for each voyage prior to issuing service offers, ensuring compliance with local, national and international regulations. <br>- Develop a thorough understanding of contracts to ensure their effective implementation in operations. <br>- Monitor trip progress on a daily basis (reports, fuel consumption, ETA) to identify risks and opportunities for optimization. <br>- Prepare loading plans to maximize efficiency while minimizing contamination risks. <br>- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring fluid and proactive communication. <br>- Participate in incident tracking and work with vessels to ensure availability. <br>- Actively participate in the optimization of shipping schedules to maximize cargo and reduce operational delays. <br>- Carry out performance studies and make recommendations to improve our processes. <br>- Prepare and transmit necessary instructions to vessels, including positioning documents and cargo declarations. <br>- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal procedures, contributing to their development to guarantee accuracy and integrity of operations.</p><p>Skills required: <br> <br>- Degree in logistics, transportation, or related field. <br>- IMQ certification (asset) <br>- Significant experience in a similar position. <br>- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. <br>- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively. <br>- Proficiency in computer tools and management software. <br>- Bilingualism</p>
