*Financial Analyst / Project Accountant*

*SUMMARY AND PURPOSE*
As a Project Accountant of Descon, your responsibilities include project accounting, financial reporting, managing KPIs (Commercial & Operational), budgeting, forecasting, building financial models, ROI analysis, and providing strategic financial insights to leadership.
*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:*
Project Accounting
o Responsible for managing revenue and profit recognition for individual projects. This includes percentage of completion revenue recognition and managing full reconciliation to the general ledger.
o Responsible for working with program team to develop project EACs and understanding all cost and margin variances.
o Creates and manages sales and margin trading plans along with project cash forecasts.
o Analyze project performance and provide insights into cost and margin performance.
o Responsible for general ledger reconciliation for revenue, COGS, WIP inventory and customer deposit accounts and monthly reconciliations.
o Responsible for billing and collections for all projects and developing relationships with customer back office.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
o Supports financial reporting along with commercial and operational KPIs.
o Provide analysis that supports leadership in decision making.
o Partner with business leaders to support their business and understanding of financial variances, financial forecasting, business case development, and other analytical data analysis.
o Identify and implement process efficiencies to support accounting and finance team to improve productivity and quality.
o Manages budgeting and forecasting process for BU.
Collaboration
o Collaborate with other departments such as Sales, Engineering, and Aftermarket across Pacteon to align efforts with Company objectives.
o Travel up 25%
*PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS*
· *Education: *
o Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting, Business or a related field required
· *Experience:*
o 2-3 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis Roles, with a proven track record.
*Skills: *
o Excellent analytical skills along with Microsoft Excel and Office suite
o Excellent written and verbal skills
o Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
o Strong leadership and time management skills
o Proficiency with ERP and Accounting Systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
