*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated RN Head Nurse to join our healthcare team. OriginElle Ottawa Fertility Clinic is seeking an experienced IVF nurse Manager with a brilliant mind and a passionate heart to help shape fertility health now and in the future. She should have a minimum of 3 years experience in all aspects of IVF and other assisted reproductive technologies. The clinic prefers a full-time Nurse with the experience in fertility.
*Duties*
1)Supervises and coordinates all aspects of nursing care.
2)Meeting with fertility patients to implement medication protocols designed by the physicians and providing further information/assessments as required.
3)Provide counselling to patients undergoing fertility treatments including IVF, IUI, frozen embryo transfers, fertility preservation for medical and social reasons, gamete donation, testicular sperm retrievals, use of gamete donor banks and surrogacy
4)Assists physicians with clinic procedures such as cyst aspiration, biopsy sampling, egg and sperm retrievals, etc.
5)Pre, Post-operative care in In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) related procedures.
6)Ensure that record keeping and data collection and reporting consistent with best practice and all government guidelines.
7)Supporting general clinic strategy.
8)Participate in research and staff recruitment.
9)Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and protocols as practice and technology evolves.
10)Perform intrauterine inseminations and other procedures as instructed.
11)Explaining consents to patients.
12)Provide support and teaching to junior IVF nurses in an expert role.
13) Oversee the infection control program, ensuring adherence to best practices and guidelines. Implement and monitor infection prevention and control measures to safeguard patient and staff health.
14) Lead and manage the nursing team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Enhance the nursing framework, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care. Organize nurse scheduling and staffing assignments. Maintain amongst nursing staff a high standard of professional knowledge through CME and training/education.
*Requirements*
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) (preferred) with current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Preference will be given to a candidate who is registrable with the OIIQ(Quebec)
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is an asset.
* Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role and 2 years of OR experience.
* Experience in a fertility clinic or similar healthcare setting is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements, including Health Canada Safety of Sperm and Ova Regulations.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS Certified).
* Strong problem-solving skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per year
