<p> <p>Grande Prairie Public School Division <p> <p>Invites applications for:<p> <p>SUBSTITUTE EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANTS <p>COMPETITION NUMBER: S2223-0036 <p> <p>Applications will be accepted until suitable candidates are found.<p> <p>Substitute Educational Assistants work under the supervision of a certified teacher who retains the responsibility for planning, instruction, supervision and evaluation of the students. As a casual employee you will be assist students in<p>optimizing learning potential within a variety of educational settings. This<p>support may include behavior management, curriculum implementation, social<p>skills development, personal care and physical assistance. <p><p> Substitute Educational Assistants are paid $18.29 per hour plus vacation pay. When filling temporary contracts, we give first consideration to our Substitute Educational Assistants.<p>Qualifications: <p><p> High School Diploma or equivalent<p> Educational Assistant Diploma with CPR/First Aid preferred<p> some experience working with children in an organized setting preferred<p> preference will be given to those with NVCI training<p> experience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviors is an asset<p> ability and willingness to perform required physical tasks, as well as assist with personal care<p><p> <p>Applications should include: <p> <p><p> completed Apply to Education profile<p> cover letter<p> detailed resume<p> three references with current contact information<p> availability (working hours are between 8:00am -3:30pm)<p><p> <p>We appreciate and thank you for your application; however, we contact only those candidates who are selected for an interview.
