*Job Description: *
The Digestive Health Centre (GUT MD INC) is seeking a one full-time or two part-time highly skilled and compassionate Certified Physician Assistants to join our team of Two Gastroenterologists at the Digestive Health Centre.
The Certified Physician Assistant will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range and broad spectrum of Digestive Disorders and Gastrointestinal illnesses under the supervision of our Gastroenterologists.
*Responsibilities:*
Provide consultations for patients experiencing subacute and/or chronic Digestive Disorders in outpatient setting.
Complete assessment of patients with a wide range of Digestive Disorders including History and focused Physical examination.
Diagnosis and Management of patients with a broad spectrum of Digestive Disorders in consultation with the specialist physician.
Ordering and interpreting various relevant diagnostic tests.
Recommend and order diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in consultation with the attending Consultant Gastroenterologist.
Refer patients to various specialists as indicated.
Developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the attending Consultant Gastroenterologist.
Provide health education and counseling to patients and families in collaboration with the attending Consultant Gastroenterologist.
Provide patients with continuity of care between and after diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Maintain the strictest level of confidentiality and privacy of Patient Health information.
Maintain and appropriately use EMR and Clinic systems and databases.
Follow the clinic practices and procedures, providing feedback for improvements.
*Qualifications:*
Current registration as a Certified Physician Assistant with the the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants (CAPA) and the Physician Assistant Certification Council of Canada (PACCC).
Optional Certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Proficiency in conducting comprehensive physical assessments and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, including the safe prescribing and monitoring of medications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30.75-$59.41 per hour
Expected hours: 32 ? 40 per week
