Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Construction industry. Private sector. Tasks: Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements. Plan, set up and administer accounting systems. Arrange training for staff. Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control. Prepare financial statements and reports. Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices. Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits. Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems. Oversee payroll administration. Manage accounts payable. Prepare bank reconciliations. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Charterered Professional Accountant (CPA). Computer and technology knowledge: Accounting software. Quick Books.
