*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff. Option to work part-time or full-time. *Responsibilities* - Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. - Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all instruments are sterilized and ready for use. - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care. - Manage appointment scheduling, including confirming patient visits and handling cancellations. - Support front office duties as needed, including answering phones and managing patient inquiries. - Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow within the practice. *Skills* - Proficient in medical terminology relevant to dentistry. - Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus. - Knowledge or experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is beneficial. - Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic is advantageous. - Strong dental assisting skills, including chairside assistance techniques. - Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software for dental applications is preferred. - Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is desirable. - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
