Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio. Tasks: Book appointments. Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences. Shampoo customers' hair. Clean and style wigs and hair pieces. Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair. Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences. Perform receptionist duties. Hair colouring techniques: Dyes/tints. Streaking/highlights. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Standing for extended periods. Personal suitability: Client focus. Ability to multitask. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
