Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Retail business. Tasks: Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products. Assemble, install and set-up merchandise/products. Keep a record of items received and delivered. Prepare, package and restock goods. Load and unload goods. Sort packages for delivery. Follow directions and read map. Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems. Pay and receive payments for goods. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Plan service routes. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Handling heavy loads. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Personal suitability: Team player. Dependability. Experience: Experience an asset. Support for newcomers and refugees: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees . Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees .
