*Health and Safety*
* Assist with the coordination and scheduling of annual inspections of all necessary equipment, third party audits/testing related to health, safety and environmental issues.
* Prepare monthly TRJ report
* Assist the Section Manager, Claims Management to collaborate with Facilities and Maintenance personnel to follow up on safety work orders and assist with inspections and reports
* Assist in the monitoring and improvement of ISO 14001 with other parties.
* Assist with annual (ISO 14001) audits and implement any/all corrective actions with other parties.
* Responsible for monitoring inventory levels & identify the need to purchase safety materials and coordination of safety related training (first aid, etc.)
* Assist with the audits of facilities to detect existing and potential health and environmental hazards.
* Data entry of all Health and Safety/Environmental related training and PPE purchases
* Assist Section Manager, Claims Management with WSIB issues as required.
* Prepare, fax and file WSIB Form 7?s, to assist the Section Manager, Claims Management
* Assist in the monitoring and improvement of safety/environmental training programs
*Administrative Duties*
* Set up and maintain associate personnel files
* Employment verification, letters of employment, locker assignments, filing
* Administration of Company Shirt and Discount programs
* Record minutes for Department meeting
* Support Benefit Specialist with benefits updates
* Update Company phone list as required
* Annual maintenance and updating of Associate drivers? licenses
* Creation of the What?s Up Weekly newsletter including gathering articles, creating content and sending it for necessary approvals prior to its release.
* Maintain RPM timekeeping system by receiving and verifying validity of doctor?s notes and entering into RPM system.
* Provide support for RPM users
* Data entry, status changes, report writing in RPM and Dayforce systems
* Summarize, verify, prepare and distribute various administrative reports and charts on a monthly basis (i.e. HR measurables, organization charts, I.T. report, etc). Generate and send monthly metrics.
*Associate Relations*
* Answer questions and provide interpretation and guidance to Associates and Team Leaders
* Act as an advocate for Associates in cases where policies are not adhered to, and Associates have been dealt with unfairly
* Investigate questions, complaints, problems and corrective action situations
* Provide recommendations and input for policy changes
* Review PBP Performance Evaluations for all Associates, providing feedback and supporting data for section leaders
* Ensure all new hires meet Company standards before the end of their probationary period
* Update communication boards with Company talking points & communications
* Assist the Recruitment Specialist with assessment of potential new hires, communicate start dates & coordinate with Training Specialist on training center requirements
* Assist other HR functions, complete special projects
* Review Performance Evaluations for all Associates, providing feedback and supporting data for section leaders

* General Human Resources administrative support, (letters, special projects, event planning)
*Requirements*
* Minimum Community College Diploma (accreditation certificate) in Business Administration, preferably in Human Resources, or equivalent
* 1-3 years related experience
* Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is mandatory
* Solid written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills and interviewing skills
* Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, adjust rapidly to change
* Thorough knowledge of Federal and Provincial Employment Legislation
* Proven organizational, interpersonal and communication skills essenti
