Human Resources Generalist
*Location: *
Imagine Cinemas Head Office (2755 Lauzon Pkwy, Windsor ON)
*Position Description:*
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play an important role in supporting the HR department with various HR functions. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
*The key responsibilities of a HR Generalist are:*
· Develop and update forms, policies, procedures and employee manuals
· Create and maintain current and accurate employee files
· Oversee recruitment and onboarding including create job postings, review resumes, interview candidates, develop job offers, administer training
· Manage attendance including employee vacations and leaves of absence
· Oversee and complete performance evaluations
· Manage employee compensation and health benefits
· Run payroll on a bi-weekly basis for over 200 employees using ADP
· Ensure all locations are following Health & Safety guidelines
· Manage WSIB claims and workplace investigations
· Provide guidance to Theatre Managers in responding to employee questions and concerns
· Ensure compliance with all applicable employment law
*Required Skills and Competencies:*
· Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
· Ability to prioritize and manage a constantly fluctuating workload with capability of adhering to strict deadlines
· Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
· Excellent decision making, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Google Drive
· Strong knowledge of applicable employment legislation including ESA, OHSA, AODA etc.
· Experience with Sage 50 Accounting and ADP is an asset
*Required Experience:*
· 2-3 years in a Human Resources role
*Required Education:*
· Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, concentration in Human Resources preferred
· CHRP designation or working towards
