We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to complement our Community Services Division Team. Under the general direction of the Manager of Facility Operations, Sales and Customer Service, the Maintenance Manager shall be responsible for leading a facility maintenance and custodial team in ensuring service excellence to lease holders, renters, building users and the general public. In addition, the Maintenance Manager will assist the Manager of Facility Operations, Sales and Customer Service in preparing an annual operating and capital budget and well as review, prepare and research principles, methods and procedures used in the administration of operations, programs and services based on risk, liability and regulations. The responsibility for built environment includes: *Civic Centre * * Algonquin Theatre - 408 seats, dressing rooms, partners hall, * Town Hall - 3 floor municipal office building with clock tower, multiple washrooms, meeting rooms, public washrooms, and council chambers *Canada Summit Centre* * Jack Bionda Arena (85ftx190ft) - 7 dressing rooms, indoor warm viewing area, seating capacity 1000 * Don Lough Arena (Olympic size 100ftx200ft) - 5 dressing rooms, seating capacity 1370 * Indoor rubberized track, Centennial Pool contains a large pool (25-meter, 6 lane), small pool with gradual levels and whirlpool jet, spa/hot tub *Active Living Centre* * 14,000 sq. ft multi-purpose hall with 2 floors, auditorium/banquet hall capacity of 300 based on set up, small meeting rooms and Seniors Area *Muskoka Heritage Place* * Custodial only - 90 acres with 18 authentic pioneer buildings and two museums and an open-air Portage Flyer Train *Aspdin Community Hall* * Capacity of 53, full kitchen facility, washrooms, snow removal *Port Sydney Hall* * Capacity of 221, full kitchen, stage, snow removal *2 Fire Stations* * Custodial only *Huntsville Public Library* * Custodial and snow removal *Utterson Hall* * Capacity 165, full kitchen, stage, snow removal *Miscellaneous areas* * Public washrooms, civic centre square *Ideally, the successful candidate:* · Has post secondary education, a diploma or degree in facilities management is an asset · 5-7 years? experience managing significant public or municipal facilities · Must have demonstrated leadership and coaching skills · Must have excellent analytical, interpersonal, problem solving, writing, communication and presentation skills · Must be proficient in Microsoft Office such as Excel and Word and ability to learn financial programs · Possession of a TSSA Refrigeration Operator Class B certificate as well as completion of basic chlorine course and/or certified pool operator?s course would be considered an asset. · Must have a valid Class G driver?s licence The salary for this position is $88,634 to $97,752.20 based on a 35-hour work week (flexible working hours including evening and weekends) including a comprehensive benefit plan.
