Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Hospitality industry. Hotel, motel, resort. Tasks: Register arriving guests and assign rooms. Process group arrivals and departures. Take, cancel and change room reservations. Provide general information about points of interest in the area. Process guests' departures, calculate charges and receive payments. Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments. Clerical duties (i.e. faxing, filing, photocopying). Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages. Contact customers to deliver requested wakeup calls. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability. Excellent oral communication. Organized. Reliability. Team player. Experience: Experience an asset. Support for newcomers and refugees: Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.). Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Does not require Canadian work experience. Support for youths: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth. Support for Indigenous people: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations .
