Job Description Physiotherapy Support Worker, Temporary Full-Time (Approximately one year)NDB Physiotherapy, Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, TwillingateDefinition of work: This is therapeutic work in the treatment of persons affected with physical disabilities as a result of illness, injury, or disabling conditions. This position receives direction from a Registered Physiotherapist and duties involve a significant amount of patient handling as treatment plans are implemented. Clinical training/supervision will be provided by regional Physiotherapy staff. Regional travel may be required. The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centred care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.Required qualifications:* Graduation from high school with a diploma recognized by the Newfoundland & Labrador Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. * Graduation from a recognized Physiotherapy Rehabilitation Assistant Program approved by Central Health.* Demonstrated body mechanics and lifting techniques.* Consistent demonstration of the core values of NL Health Services: Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence (I CARE)* A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.* A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.Hours of Work: 75 hours bi-weekly (Shift work may be required)Salary: CG-28 ($26.39-$29.22)Competition No: P-2024000885-NDBClosing Date: Open until filledCentral Health is an equal opportunity employer.We thank all candidates however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.- LocationGander, NL
