Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Group home. Tasks: Prepare reports or case histories. Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Conduct follow-up assessments. Food preparation. Resolve conflict situations. Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses. Implement behaviour management programs. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Develop service intervention logic models and outcome measures. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Accompany clients to appointments and social outings. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate. Target audience: Persons who are blind/visually impaired. Persons who are deaf/hard of hearing. Persons with learning disabilities. Persons with mental health disabilities. Persons with physical disabilities. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Flexibility. Team player. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
