Heavy Equipment Mechanic *Shift:* Day *Competitive start rate based on experience!* *Location:* Rivermede Location *Here?s what we do at our Rivermede location?* *Non-Ferrous Scrap Metal Recycling* RAM?s highly trained and experienced staff, utilize the latest in specialized equipment to collect, sort and process all varieties of Non-Ferrous metals. We are growing and need one (1) Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at our Vaughan location. *Now that you know about us, we want to know more about you! We are looking for someone who can:* * Trouble shoot, diagnose and repair equipment such as but not limited to: bailers, forklifts, skidsteers, loaders, excavators, material handlers, and attachments such as broom, shear, magnet, grapple * Inspect and repair equipment with faults and malfunctions * Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine the extent of repair required * Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools * Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturer?s specifications * Maintain attachments and working tools such as blades, grapples, buckets, claws, forks, booms, and rotators to manufacturing specifications * Perform repair work on heavy equipment, devices, tools and assist truck mechanic * Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults using pneumatic, mechanical and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments * Perform scheduled preventative maintenance work and complete test and maintenance reports * Perform Lockout * Welding duties * Housekeeping of work area as required *We think it would be awesome if you have:* * Two (2) years of experience * Qualified and/or certified Maintenance Mechanic 421A preferred * Certified forklift driver is an asset * Prior Lock-out training and or certification * Knowledge of man lift equipment, fall arrest, and fire extinguishers. * Knowledge of mechanics and machine maintenance * Qualified and certified in maintenance related equipment (i.e. Hydro, Power Pack, lathe, mill, grinders, welders, etc). * Knowledge of welding * Preventative maintenance experience *Make a Positive Change* RAM Iron & Metal Inc. offers great career opportunities with competitive compensation packages; inclusive of comprehensive health care benefits, RRSP contributions, profit sharing, and other incentives to attract and retain great talent like you. *Discover How!* Send us your resume and let us know how you would you make an impact at RAM. _Please note Ram Iron & Metal Inc. is committed to accommodating people with disabilities as part of our hiring process.
