The Manger, Transportation, will have an exciting opportunity to support seniors and vulnerable members of their community. This individual will provide direction to their team, offering professional expertise and monitoring performance to ensure the departmental and individual objectives are achieved within scheduled timelines and budgets. They will also be tasked with establishing and maintaining a safe , welcoming, and positive work environment. Other duties include the preparation of detailed reports, liaising with other departments and programs and the Leadership Team, and handling inquiries from the community.

*Job Duties*
* Develop and implement strategies to enhance departmental processes and performance.
* Establish and maintain a productive working environment for all staff.
* Oversee and direct daily activities of transportation department staff.
* Review departmental performance metrics with the Senior Director.
* Utilize information systems to gather and distribute relevant information within the organization.
* Provide interdepartmental support as needed.
* Ensure all staff receive comprehensive training on job responsibilities, organizational policies, and Ministry guidelines.
* Contribute to the development of departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
* Provide coaching and mentoring to staff, conducting evaluations in collaboration with HR and the Senior Director.
* Assist in the development and management of departmental budgets, recommending cost-control measures.
* Provide insights for program expansion and operational efficiencies.
* Plan and organize meetings and special events as directed.
* Maintain productive relationships with the Senior Director, Team Leaders, and HR personnel and staff team.
* Ensure regular testing and replenishment of emergency and health and safety equipment.
* Chair assigned meetings, taking minutes and preparing agendas.
* Stay updated on best practices in administration and office management.
* Monitor departmental performance against strategic goals, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
* Attend leadership meetings to provide updates, engage in problem-solving, and set departmental goals.
* Regularly meet with the Senior Director to ensure effective communication on programs, brainstorm ideas, and address departmental issues.
* Perform other related duties as required.
* Assist in the recruitment of volunteers in conjunction with the Manager of Community Development
* Assist in the orientation and training of volunteers;
*Requirements*
* Post-secondary degree or diploma in a health-related discipline.
* Minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience (preferred).
* Five years of experience working with the aging population, individuals with cognitive and behavioral issues, and adults with physical disabilities (preferred).
* Proven leadership and management skills.
* Strong problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.
* In-depth understanding of personnel policies, practices, and operational challenges.
* Knowledge of risk management principles.
* High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
* Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management.
