*Medical Office Assistant* *30 hours per week possibly growing to 37.5* We are a multi-specialty clinic providing a wide variety of health care to patients of the city of Peterborough and area. Our team of medical and surgical specialists, family physicians and interprofessional healthcare providers (IHP) are committed to providing quality patient care. We offer a variety of quality, on-site services to the community including X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, hearing services and pharmacy services. We are recruiting a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) for a very busy family practice. You will be successful in this position with previous medical office experience working with inter-disciplinary health professionals, busy phones and lots of patient interaction. This position requires a "can-do" attitude, a calm and professional demeanor and the ability to provide patient service that is second to none. *Qualifications:* * Patient focused, professional and pleasant telephone manner * Previous experience working in a fast-paced health care environment * Excellent computer skills; previous experience with EMR * Attentive to detail, strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills * Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check * COVID vaccinated *Responsibilities:* * Greet and check-in patients upon arrival * Answer telephones * Schedule appointments and respond to patient inquiries * Book diagnostic testing appointments * Ability to work well under pressure and use good judgment * Uphold confidentiality and confidential patient health records The Medical Centre is committed to providing accessible employment practices that are in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
