*AZ Shunt Driver ? Part-Time Position* Wills Transfer Limited *Part-Time, * Position available in Brockville Operations *JOB DESCRIPTION: AZ Driver including Shunting* *Job summary*: _This position has several functions including but not limited to: Shunting of trailers with the Brockville Operations, short haul FTL to Wills customers in the Eastern Ontario Region. Ensuring the tractor and any accompanying trailers are in good working order and that the equipment is operated safely at all times. You may be asked to do new tasks as they are presented and therefore you are required to be flexible in this position._ *Required KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:* * License as required by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation * AZ Driver in good standing * Workplace safety training such as WHMIS * TDG training * A proficiency in Math and English * Minimum of 3 years experience as an AZ driver/Shunter * Desired experience in warehouse or related industry experience. * Standing, walking and manual lifting products (up to 50 lbs) is required. * A positive attitude, and team player * Ability to follow directions. * Willingness to learn*.* * Ability to maintain a clean and organized working area *OTHER Information* * Primary job will be shunting coverage on weekends. (a minimum of 3 weekends per month) these share are scheduled. Weekend coverage will pay at an overtime (time and half) rate * Coverage on Saturday and Sunday could start as early as 6:00 am and run until 4:00 pm. On call coverage is required until 7:00pm both evenings. There is a separate $25 per day on call rate to be available until 7:00 pm. If required to return to the customs site, a call-in rate of 4 hours regular time will be paid. * In addition to the weekend shunting, you would be a back up driver to cover sick or vacation either as a shunter or for local deliveries to Ottawa, Iroquois, Cardinal, Ingleside. * No benefits * 1-3 shifts per week * Ability to pass a drug test. * Ability to secure security * Compensation - 25.66hr / After 3 months $26.66 * *Come be part of Wills Transfer, one of Canada?s Best Managed Companies.* Just starting your career or you?re ready to join a company where People Matter, apply now to Wills Transfer.
