Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Transportation. Tasks: Develop specific plans to prioritize. Organize tasks to accomplish the work. Plan and organize operational logistics of the organization. Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments. Prepare and submit reports. Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery. Arrange for maintenance and repair work. Train workers in duties and policies. Conduct performance reviews. Co-ordinate, assign and review work. Process and transmit information and instructions to co-ordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment. Maintain work records and logs. Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units. Ensure accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll and other summaries. Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders. Perform general office duties. Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment. Keep track of shipments. Supervision: 11-15 people. Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic scheduler. Dispatch management service software. MS Excel. MS PowerPoint. MS Word. Electronic mail.
