*What We Will Ask of You:* As a key member of our Central Administration Team, our Human Resources Coordinator (HRC) plays an important role. On most days you?ll be supporting the Human Resources (HR) function by enacting best practices and providing a professional, equitable, inclusive, safe, supportive, ethical and confidential work experience for all staff, students and volunteers. The HRC is responsible for the recruitment and selection process of agency job openings and conducts new employee onboarding and training for agency staff. This position is responsible for the ongoing administration and maintenance of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and employee group benefits package. The HRC provides support to the Manager of People and Culture for the agency?s job evaluation process and compensation strategy. Additional areas of support include; fostering a positive and inclusive organizational culture, supporting with employee relations, policy development, occupational health and safety initiatives, learning and talent development and other special HR projects as assigned. The HRC seeks to support agency staff do their best work through fulfilling the HR workplan as well as the agency operational plan and strategic directives.
*Primary Responsibilities:*
* Provide support to the full recruitment and selection process by ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and agency best practices.
* Administer various employment documentation including; offer/letter of employment, leaves of absence requests, employment verification, return to work and accommodation supporting documentation as directed.
* Conduct agency data analysis surveys to align HR strategy, support business decisions and gauge employee engagement. Extract and present both quantitative and qualitative data as well as additional reports and summaries as directed.
* Support the Manager of People and Culture implement special projects as directed.
* Maintain the agency?s Human Resources Information System (HRIS) for ongoing and annual, policy reviews, position changes, compensation, training, performance, documentation, attendance, recruitment, onboarding and personal information. Audit agency data for accuracies and generate reports for Program Managers as requested.
* Coordinate ongoing mandatory training.
* Administer the employee group benefit program and respond to level 1 employee inquires.
* Support short- and long-term leaves of absences and share relevant information with appropriate parties.
*Qualifications:*
* Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience.
* Certified Human Resources Professional or Leader (CHRP or CHRL) in good standing or willingness to gain certification is considered an asset.
* Certified Health and Safety Member, or ability to gain and maintain certification is considered an asset.
* 3+ years of generalized experience in a variety of HR related areas: HR Administration, Recruitment and Selection, Compensation and benefits, Occupational Health and Safety and HRIS data management.
* Strong attention to detail, well organized with an excellent ability to prioritize, multi-task and take initiative.
* Computer proficiency and excellent communication skills.
* Compassionate and responsible supporter of people, their families, and community partners.
* Annual completion of a Criminal Background Check, including Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).
* Non-Violent Crisis Intervention or Safe Management training.
* Valid G-Class driver?s license for the Province of Ontario, access to reliable transportation and have valid proof of automobile insurance with driving for business purposes and a minimum liability of two million dollars.
